CLASS MEMORIES At long last we, the class of 1963, have attained our goal: we are seniors. Now Is the time when we look back to our high school days with their many fond memories. Although some of these memories will fade as the years go by, there are others that will remain forever vivid in our hearts. We will always recall the excitement of our football games. In I960 Ticonderoga High School won the Champlain Valley League football championship. We are proud that our boys, although only sophomores at the time, added their strength to help the team meet with such success. What girl can forget her Junior Prom? The prom has always been considered Ti High's foremost social event, and our dance, the Garden Under the Sea , was no exception. As we whirled through our beautifully decorated cafeteria, all our hopes and dreams were fulfilled. The highlight of the evening was the crowning of our Junior Prom Queen, Susan Davidson. Our exceptional class suppers earned us a great deal of recognition from both parents and teachers. Instead of the customary hot lunch, we served delicious dinners of baked ham and roast beef. Although those dinners required the cooperation of the entire class, our efforts certainly proved rewarding. We Joined in many pleasures at Ti High, but we still found time to perform our duties. Our main objective as a class was to earn enough money for our Senior trip, a trip to Washington, D.C. We engaged in many money making activities, such as holding record hops, and selling magazine subscriptions, candy, and Christmas cards. Our candy store, inherited from last year's seniors, flourished under the management of Francis Smith. Also, Junior and Senior plays were held to raise fund3. While most of these projects were primarily of a practical nature, there was as much fun as there was work involved in carrying them out. Never to be forgotten i3 the unselfish help and guidance of our teachers. The members of our class will remember in particular our class advisor, Mr. McCarthy, who sacrificed much of his time and effort to lead us through four years of growth. He has won our honor and respect, but above all our friendship. We could not have spared him, even for a little while. In June when we, the class of 1963, have left as proud graduates of Ticonderoga High School, we will have taken these memories along with us. Success and happiness were our goals as Seniors. Now, having achieved those objectives, we look forward to future challenges in the broader world ahead of us.
