We elected Jane Morhouse as President, Dale Cronan as Vice President, Margo Foley as Treasurer, and Sally ’Vickes as Secretary. During the year, we held two successful dances and as the months wore on, we decided to try our talents at selling pencils, Christmas Cards and Wrappings. This venture proved Satisfactory and with part of the profits, we gave our first class supper. Thus with a bright horizon ahead, we concluded the first steps up that long stairway to graduation. In our Sophomore year, we elected Jane Morhouse as President, Sally Wickes as Vice President, Margo Foley as Treasurer, and Fredericka Newton as Secretary. To increase our treasury, we decided to sell ribbon and stationary and to hold a food sale. We also held four dances, one of which was the traditional Twirp Dance and, to add spice of variety, a Mad Hatter Dance at which prizes were given for the maddest hat. In March we decided to hold the annual supper. Ending our Sophomore year, we had advanced a few more steps with success. At last we were on the upper level of high school, we were Juniors. Bob Hill was elected President, Dale Cronan, Vice President, Jim Benjamin, Secretary, and Ronnie Allen, Treasurer. We continued to sell ribbon and Christmas Cards and again held a food sale and class supper. Our most important projects this year were the purchase of class rings, our plays, and our prom. Mr. Gooding directed Miggles, Miss Selleck directed A Night in the Country, and Mr. Rindsberg directed Danger. Next came the formal event of the year, the Junior Prom. Roman Gardens was selected for a theme and Jane Morhouse was chosen queen. With a great amount of work and determination, a fountain was made which received the praise of everyone and along with the beautiful mural and misty atmosphere of the blue lights, the gym was transformed Into a lovely dance floor. Now we are in our last year. No longer will we have to look over heads at an assembly or wait at dismissal. As Seniors, we are first. Our officers are Ronnie Allen, President, Jim Davis, Vice President, Jim Benjamin, Treasurer, and Fredericka Newton, Secretary. A Senior Tea was given by the College Club at the home of Mrs. Thomas Rider and the girls enjoyed themselves very much. In November, we held our last class supper; the menu was hotdogs and sauerkraut. In December we held our Alumni Ball and chose a king and queen from the alumni who attended. We also proudly took over the keys to the candy room and new shelves were made to display our goods. Looking in the future now, we see that final step. It has been a long, hard climb, but we are almost there. We sincerely thank Mrs. Carney, our class advisor, and all of our other teachers who through the years have helped us to achieve success in our high school career. Because of their help, we shall graduate this June as proud students of Ticonderoga High School. As we pass over France, we see Joan Nichols selling her famous paintings on the Riviera. Her first customer is the well known center of the Harlem Globe Trotters. Victor LaVallee, who is now on world tour with his teammates, Jim Benjamin, Ronnie LaMarque, and Dean Dolbeck, under the management ol Walt McLaughlin, also a renownSd sports commentator. As we travel onward over Switzerland we hear Marao Foley, the international champion yodler, practicing for her coming concert. She is to be starred with Colleen Lester who recently made her debut at the Met. We also see Mike Gallant who is presently the dean of an exclusive girls' school where Judy Cruickshank is teaching young girls the fundamentals of running a home. Over Italy, we gaze fondly at the chain of A P stores owned and operated by Mike Vigllotti. We wonder if John Burliegh is still working for Mike. Also we come across Judy Brown, often called a second Sophia Loren, rehearsing for her latest film. Suprisingly enough we even see some of our classmates behind the Iron Curtain. Below us is Ronnie Allen, our ambassador to Russia, talking to Sharon Balding and Norma Cook, foreign correspondents for the Daily Herald, now owned by Jim Charboneau. Jackie Wendell is Jim's Private Secretary. As Africa comes into view, even more of our classmates are brought to mind. Going on another of her famous wild animal expeditions in the Jungle wilds is Joan Best. Maybe she will see Bill Wisell , a missionary, who with his devoted assistant Carol Russell, is trying to convert the natives of this wild country. Jolly old England brings more surprises. Before us we see Jon Curtis, now the head of Scotland Yard and often referred to as another Sherlock Holmes. And there is Jim Davis who recently received the highest honor bestowed by the British Government for discovering the valuable mineral zxypomnacll Near by in Scotland we naturally find Moira Smith playing her bagpipes and doing the Highland Fling for the tourists. Are my eyes deceiving me or is that Joyce Perkins with her husband among the large crowd? In China we see Doctor Sandra Ferguson desperately trying to halt the epidemic of American Flu that has recently struck the entire country. The able Ann Belden and Martha McClure are assisting her in every way possible. Brrrl there's a cold Alaska coming into view. We've heard that Dale and Pat Cronan have a store up here for the Eskimos. Last year the President of the United States Jane Morhouse gave them a medal for outstanding bravery for their $0 mile trip by dog sled to bring penicillin to halt the outbreak of snow fever. They told us that John Varmerte is helping them with their food problem. He is keeping them well stocked with muskrat pelts which he traps up there. The United States is a welcoming sight for us weary travelers We should see the rest of our classmates here. We hear that hern UeLarm is being featured at Madison Square Garden with Marcia Badger in a lady's wrestling tag team match. They are managed by Barbara Barber, a well known lady wrestler. Pat McCarty is a famous chemist now working on a secret machine to replace working. Michael Hayes is president of the A.F.L.-C.I.0. and he and his wife Sally are living In tneir nome town of Tlconderoga. Also in Ticonderoga we see that Linda Davidson is still working In the State Theater but hopes to buy it early next year and have the business for herself. At Saratoga Raceway we learn that Teddy Newton and Joanne Labatore are being allowed to race for the first time in competition. New York City brings more of our friends to view. Phil Huestls, now president of the A.A., has his main headquarters here in New York but the other offices are located all over the country under the direction of his able assistants Brenda McGinty, Betsey Stewart, Anne Lietzenmayer and, of course, Lee Spring. Mary Ellen Fitzgerald and Justlna Rooker who were rejected from the army again have finally decided to give up and Join the W.A.C.'s. In Schenectady we see that Linda Jackson has become president of the G.E.Plant and Velma Johnson is chairman of the board. Colleen Grimes is now art director of the Metropolaton Art Museum and she even has some of her own paintings hanging In this well known museum. 42 Down in Florida we see Jane Carney racing against world champion auto racers at Daytona Beach. Also here enjoying the warm weather is Mrs. Carney, our former class adviser, who must still be trying to recuperate from her four years with us. name NICKNAME FAVORITE SAYING Ronald A1len Ronnie Go to H Marcia Badger Marc Holy cow Sharon Balding Sherry Hmmm?
