Class History Most of the members of the Class of 1957 met In Kindergarten at Central School. The boys and girls spent their next four years in local schools. We met again in fifth grade at Ticonderoga Junior-Senior High School, and had the addition of Peter Vanderwarker. Our sixth year Mildred Ladd joined us. In seventh grade Barbara Spring and John Hamilton became part of our class. Eighth grade proved to be more exciting because of graduation. Peter Vanderwarker was the valedictorian and Jerry O'Connor, the salutatorian from Ticonderoga. Dorcelleen Thatcher was valedictorian and Robert McCoy salutatorian from Streetroad. We became wjiat is now the Class of 1957 in our Freshman year. Mr. Royce became our advisor for the next four years. At our first meeting we elected the following officers: Pete Vanderwarker, President; Barb Spring, Vice President; Jerry O'Connor, Treasurer; and Paul Gallant, Secretary. In order to earn money for our Senior Trip we sold Christmas cards and dish cloths. We held a dance and a class supper which became annual events. Cur Sopnonore class officers were: Pete Vanderwarker, President; Barb Spring, Vice President; Dave Lonergan, Treasurer; and Nancy Lamb, Secretary. The traditional Twirp Dance was held. We received our class pins and sold Christmas cards and dish cloths. Entering our Junior year we elected the following officers: Gerald Crammond, President; Nancy Lamb, Vice-President; Carol Noel, Treasurer; and Barb Spring, Secretary. Our Junior plays and the Junior Prom, the theme of which was Moonlight and Roses were the big events of our third year. We also purchased our class rings which brought great excitement. We sold Christmas cards and wrappings, personalized stationery, iron-on initials, fire extinguishers, and we were able to sell candy at 'be football qames and after school. Although we lost many on the way, the rest of us finally reached the last plateau with these class officers: Paul Gallant, President; Dave Lonergon, Vice President; Carol Noel, Treasurer; and Nancy Lamb, Secretary. To add to the money for our Senior Trip we operated a store on the third floor for selling candy, ice cream, school supplies, T.H.S. pins and stickers. We held the Senior Dance and the Senior Play Archie Andrews under the direction of Miss Simpkins. The College Club gave a tea at the home of Mrs. Lawrence Thruston for the Senior girls. This is a history of our class as a group in the past years. atch your newspapers for news of their accomplishments as individuals in the future. 18

Nancy Lamb leaves her special history reports to our future seniors. Dave Lonercsn leaves the girls sad. Eugene Manl'-y leaves his dancing ability to Dan Peria. Susan Morton leaves her ability to get angry. Norm Nadeau leaves the football team. Carol Noel leaves her treasury books to Ronnie Allen. Jerry O’Connor leaves his wisecracks to Dave Ferguson. Barb Spring leaves her teasing, if possible!! Dorcey Thatcher leaves but plans to come back to haunt Mr. Doane. Kathy Thatcher leaves her athletic ability to Pat whitford.
