The boys and girls spent their next four years in local schools. We met again in fifth grade at Ticonderoga Junior-Senior High School, and had the addition of Peter Vanderwarker. Our sixth year Mildred Ladd joined us. In seventh grade Barbara Spring and John Hamilton became part of our class. Eighth grade proved to be more exciting because of graduation. Peter Vanderwarker was the valedictorian and Jerry O'Connor, the salutatorian from Ticonderoga. Dorcelleen Thatcher was valedictorian and Robert McCoy salutatorian from Streetroad. We became wjiat is now the Class of 1957 in our Freshman year. Mr. Royce became our advisor for the next four years. At our first meeting we elected the following officers: Pete Vanderwarker, President; Barb Spring, Vice President; Jerry O'Connor, Treasurer; and Paul Gallant, Secretary. In order to earn money for our Senior Trip we sold Christmas cards and dish cloths. We held a dance and a class supper which became annual events. Cur Sopnonore class officers were: Pete Vanderwarker, President; Barb Spring, Vice President; Dave Lonergan, Treasurer; and Nancy Lamb, Secretary. The traditional Twirp Dance was held. We received our class pins and sold Christmas cards and dish cloths. Entering our Junior year we elected the following officers: Gerald Crammond, President; Nancy Lamb, Vice-President; Carol Noel, Treasurer; and Barb Spring, Secretary. Our Junior plays and the Junior Prom, the theme of which was Moonlight and Roses were the big events of our third year. We also purchased our class rings which brought great excitement. We sold Christmas cards and wrappings, personalized stationery, iron-on initials, fire extinguishers, and we were able to sell candy at 'be football qames and after school. Although we lost many on the way, the rest of us finally reached the last plateau with these class officers: Paul Gallant, President; Dave Lonergon, Vice President; Carol Noel, Treasurer; and Nancy Lamb, Secretary. To add to the money for our Senior Trip we operated a store on the third floor for selling candy, ice cream, school supplies, T.H.S. pins and stickers. We held the Senior Dance and the Senior Play Archie Andrews under the direction of Miss Simpkins. The College Club gave a tea at the home of Mrs. Lawrence Thruston for the Senior girls. Practice and Mrs. Bush, 19 Class Prophecy As I-float along on my fluffy blue cloud with Hugo, I can gaze into the future. If you are wondering who Hugo is, he's my loyal and dependable crystal ball. Traveling over lakes, hills, and cities, Hugo and I can see more than most people see. As I look into his smiling crystal-like face, I see many of my old friends. The first person I see in my crystal ball is Eugene Manley. Gene now runs a candy store of his own. Margaret Beaudin works for him and eats up a great many of his profits. He tells me that Jean Gauger runs a fashionable dress shop next door. Irene Isabel 1 models for Jean’s customers. All of a sudden there is a great commotion. Down the street cones a big parade with Chuck Blanchard as drum major. The parade is in honor of that great professional football star vui Nadeau. In the car with Norm is his manager, Ed Vosberg. Afte parade Norm tells me that Tom Gunning and Jerry O'Connor are big nu. i football. He also tells me that Dick Jonnors uullds and races sport .as. After the parade I decided to take a walk down main street to window shop. As I pass a televisor store, I see a familiar face on one of the T. V. screens. All of a sudden I recall that it is the face of Bob Wikstrom. Bob now does a comedy show under the name of Robert Q. Wikstrom. Grace Fuller and Sheila Clark, owners of a large baby food business, sponsor his show. From the commercials it seems that they are making big profits. As 1 walk on down the street, I come upon a big nightclub. The billboard in .'ront of the club advertises John Hamilton and his band. Because John was in my class, I decided to go in r.d say hello. The band is rehearsing with the vocalist. The singer .u ns out to be Nancy Lamb, an old friend of mine. Nancy tells me that Barney Brock is the owner of the club and Bill Hanchett is head waiter. She makes me promise to return that night to see the show. When I do return that night, I see many of my old class mates. Paul Gallant is there and he tells me that he is a child doctor and that Barbara Davidson is his nurse. Pete Vanderwarker is there with his wife, Carol Noel. Carol tells me that Dave Lonergan is a history professor at Vassar. She also tells me that Dorcey Thatcher is head of a big shipping line. Ronnie Hughes is the captain of one of her ships and Kathv Thatcher is the social and athletic director on the same ship, ■'ete ‘ .11s me that Gerry Crammond is with the F. B. I., and Sue Morton is his stenocrapher. My friends tell me that Bud V isell has joined the Navy and has a nirl in every port. Betty Jean Grinnell and Joan Maxwell run a driving school. Now 1 see Elliot Shaw is running a big power plant in Russia and Pat Bougor is his interpreter. Bob Cawley Is a professor of English at Trinity College in Vermont. After hearing about or seeing many of my friends, it seems that t e face of Milly Ladd is missing. When I ask my friends about Mllly, they tell me that she is a mad chemist, and has shut herself off from the rest of the world to experiment. All of a sudden my crystal ball turns black and I can see no more. My visions of my friends have faded, and I can do nothing but float along among the clouds with Hugo. 20 Barbara Spring 21 MaRG RET BEAUJIN Uaggy Choir (1,2,3A) Essex County Choir (1) Senior Play CHhRLES BLANCHARD Chuck-Prom Committee BERNARD BROCK Barney Basebal1 (1,2,3 U) Basketball (2,3 lj-) Junior Play senior Play SHEILA CLiRK Sheila Choir (1,2,3,1+) Senior Play RICHARD CONNORS Dick GERALD CRAMMOND Poor Boy Football (1,2) Choir (1,2,3,1+) All-State Choir (1+) All-County Choir (3,1+) Junior Play senior Play Class President (3) Basketball (1) Track and Field (1) Prom Committee Newspaper Club (1,2,3,1+) Newspaper Editor (3,1+) BARBARA JaVIuSOU “Barb Junior Play Senior Play French Club ( 3 U-) Latin Club (2) Newsoaper Club (1 ] GRhCE FULLER Grade Homernaking Club (1+) Junior Play PaUL GALlaNT Paul Class secretary (1) Football (1,2,3,1+) Track and Field (1,2,3,1+) Basketball I.ianaaer (2, 3 14-) Choir (2,3,1+) Essex County Choir (2,1+) Junior Play oenior Play Latin Club (1,2) Class President ('•.) ..rt Club (!+) JEAN GAUGER JeanIs'1 Senior Play THOMAS GUNNING Ton Basketball (1,2,3,1+) Baseball ( 1,2,3 U-) Football (1,2,3,1+) Junior VIay Senior .lay Varsity T.
