The Class students. At President, Pat Beulah Porter, CLASS HISTORY of 1953 started high school as a group of sixty-six our first meeting we elected the following officers, Arthur, Vice President, Virginia Davis, Treasurer, and Secretary, Jack Gallant. In order to earn money for our trip to New York during our Senior Year, we raffled off an Easter Corsage and held a food sale under the direction of Mrs. MacA1lister, our class advisor. We also held a supper in honor of our parents and teachers. Then entering our Sophomore year we elected Pat Arthur, Presi- dent, Virginia Davis, Vice President, Beulah Porter, Treasurer, and Anne Ormsbee, Secretary. Miss Simpkins became our class adviscar and we began striving harder for our trip to New York. We held the traditional Twirp Dance and again played host to our parents and teachers at a supper. We also sold Jello. As officers for our Junior year we chose Pat Arthur,President' Don Wehmeyer, Vice President, Beulah Porter, Treasurer, and Margaret McCarthy, Secretary. This was our best year yet. We proudly received our long awaited Class rings and held our Junior Prom, with a background of a Chinese Garden as the theme. Anne Tompkins was chosen as our Queen. We also sponsored a Valentine Dance, sold candy and Jello, held our Junior Supper, and presented three plays, nComing Around the Mountain,U WA Weddingn and nOf All Things.n We have finally reached the high point of our high school career, our Senior year. During the past three years, we have lost many of our fellow classmates, until only twenty-nine Seniors are left. Don Wehmeyer, President, Joe Dreimiller, Vice President, Beulah Porter, Treasurer, and Anne Urmsbee, Secretary were elected as class officers. Our activities reached their peak this year. Everyone was busy selling candy, Christmas cards, stationery, matches, wreathes, and any other items with which we could make money for our Senior Trip. Our Social events were the Senior Tea held at Mrs. Burroughs' home, the Senior Dance, and the Senior sup- per. we also presented a play, NBeauty and the Beef.n We workeci hard toward tho publishing of our 1953 yearbook and also looked forward to our trip to New York with anxiety.
