The mission of the S-6 division is to provide aeronautical supply support to the embarked Air Wing and various ships departments. A total of 25,000 line items are stocked by S-6 everything from a five cent nut or bolt up to a 340,000 aircraft engine. During the deployment over 20,000 demands were placed on S-6 for spare parts. The division is manned by 20 aviation storekeepers but when the Air Wing is embarked they augment the division with all squadron AK's which brings the total to 38 men during deployment. S-6 division is manned 24 hours daily and provides delivery of the required spares to the various work centers. As evidenced by the divisions supply effectiveness during the recent cruise and a grade of 98 during the last annual supply inspection by COM NAVAIRPAC, this is truly one of the finest S-6 divisions in the Pacific Fleet. 1l54C3Iil?1NgIl2gIyIVgJ-EI .ZKI D. The small but elite crew of S-7 Division furnish essential data processing services to allow other divisions to more efficiently conduct their own work. With the sorters, collectors, and the soon to be installed U-1500 computer, the men of S-7 keep track of the optar spending for every division on Tico, tell every man each payday how much money he will receive, and keep track of every part required for the many pieces of equipment aboard Tico.
