Fl' . S-3 Division offers the men of Ticonderoga most of her personal services. ln addition to running Tico's ships stores, the men of S-3 also run the barber shops, the laundry, the vending machines, the tailor shop, and the cobbler shop. During the 1971 Westpac cruise S273,000 worth of merchandise was sold, 14,000 heads of hair cut and half a million pounds of laundry processed. With that record it's really not neces- sary to point out that S-3 is a hard working division. BOTTOM ROW L-R R A Meszaros B C McDa ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' , - - vid, F.R. Magnuson, J. Reyes, R. During the WESTPAC cruise, disbursing paid over 4.5 million dollars to the Tico crew. In addition to maintaining active pay accounts, disbursing prepares allotments of pay, provides a safekeeping service, cashes personal checks, and accepts deposits for the saving program. Nearly all government funds on Ticonderoga including ships store collections and post office funds are deposited with the disbursing office. Another function of disbursing is the processing and payment of all travel and per diem claims for members being transfered. BOTTOM ROW UR, DK1 VD- Arfeola, DKC D.R. Fiiiaon, LTJG R.W.
