1Ch OC The OC Division of the Operations Department is charged with the task of staffing and manning the carrier air traffic control center, air transfer and operations office. The carrier air traffic control center fCATCCl, is a centralized agency responsible for the status keeping of all carrier air operations and control of all airborne aircraft arriving and departing under instrument conditions. The air transfer personnel are responsible for the orderly flow of passengers, mail and cargo on and off the ship while it is at sea. The complexity of such a task requires that the average Electronics Technician fETl must have satisfactorily completed formal school training for a period in excess of six months.
