lf we can't fix it, it ain't broke could be the motto of R Division. From cutting Ships plaques to Welding high pressure steam lines or from remodeling heads to constructing cruiseboxes, this division has proven time and time again that no job is too big - or small. t R Division personnel also form the highly important nucleus of Ticonderoga's Damage Control teams. Damage Control, both preventative and corrective. An example of the preventative type is the notorious fire chits , issued each night whether at sea or inport. These chits notify division officers of possible fire hazards found in ship's spaces. Even though we hope the corrective type Damage Control never has to be put to actual use, these men stand ready to combat any shipboard disaster that might occur.
