IM-3 The AIMD Avionics Division flM3J conducts in-depth repair and adjustment of airborne electronics and electrical equipment installed in the embarked squadrons' aircraft. ' The division consists of approximately 60 specially trained electronics and electrical technicians who man four electronic equipment repair shops and a qualification labora- tory around the clock when the ship is deployed. The equipment repair shops work on a number of types of communications and electronic navigation equipment, electronic altitude sensing equipment, electrical equip- ment and aircraft instruments, automatic flight control and stabilization equipment, radar equipment, and a number of highly sophisticated anti-submarine warfare electronics systems. The qualification laboratory conducts in-depth repair, adjustment, and accuracy certification of test equipment, precision electricalfelectronic measuring devices, torque wrenches, and pressure gauges for the embarked squadrons and the other departments and divisions of the ship. During the four month deployment, the division repaired and put back into service more than 3750 pieces of equipment. s ', is Wx-wr.-Q-sm,-Q f W ' SEZ '-., 'MJ 2 BOTTOM ROW L-R, ATR2 G.I'l.
