Suns' Lioruia promotes assembly excitement t
by Nancy Trimble
Spirit rose to its peak as the Phoenix Suns gorilla
fired up students at the first assembly. Enthusiasm
spread while cheerleaders led the class competition.
junior Lorelei Kuhn said, "The freshman seemed
more enthused because of the excitement of their
first year in high school." Danielle Andreine was
among many seniors who enjoyed the assembly. She
commented, "The senior class showed more spirit
and rowdiness than I've seen in all my four years
here."
Alvin Adams, a well known Phoenix Suns player
silenced the crowd momentarily with his speech
about aiming for success without drugs. The speech
inspired many people. One junior, Sean Kaye, re-
plied "A lot of kids look up to Alvin Adams."
