Ecology rallies attract active students 1. Kevin Walsh, at the first rally, talks to the students before they picked up trash and ate watermelon. 2 lVlr, Harry Braun addresses the stu- dents who participated at the second rally, before listening to the band. 0n October 3rd, 1973 a few students and faculty members called an ecology rally. Headed by Greg Howard, approximately 200 people showed up to hear students speak about the en- vironment. After the rally students went out to the fields to pick up trash. After- wards they ate watermelon .A second rally was held Octo- ber 18th, about 10-0 people came, lVlr, Don lVlarovich, Lori lVlcGilvray, Jeff Patton, lVlr. Harry Braun, and lVlr. Carl Riney, all spoke. After- wards, a band played till 5:30 . Both rallies were held in our amphitheater. Student Life 13
