Robert Jones, Harold Stofer, CURRICULUM COUNCIL: Marcia Blackman, Wylda Longanecken, Janice Stuckey, Williann Jacobs, Jr.. Katharine Langwonthy, Sue Henderson, Shirley Rasmussen, Shirley Livanec. Betty Mattson. Standing: Ronald Riopel, Rudy Stonnp, Felix Skalski. Rod Nedervett. John Johnsonbaugh. E. Vincent Hawkins, and Gary Fond The Faculty Council is a group of fourteen high school faculty mennbens who meet monthly with principal, Mr. Jacobs to discuss issues which affect the over-all operation of the high school. Discussion items include: schedule, policies, new programs, and any additional items on concerns of the council. This is the fourth year of the Faculty Council ' s ex- istence. The group is very helpful to Mr. Jacobs and to the school. The Curriculum Council consists of twenty key people from all the departments of the high school. The monthly meetings consist of curriculum including course changes, new course offerings, textbook changes, graduation requirements, and all other fac- tors affecting instructional procedures. The council continually evaluates all programs, studies new methods and techniques, and updates the curriculum process. 29

Our library not only provides various research materials, but it also gives many students a comfortable atmosphere in which to work and study. Shirley Rasmussen has been effi- ciently running our library operations for the past ten years. She is assisted by secretary, Gladys Wellington. Both are always willing to offer service with a smile.

Mr. Rutenbar has proven himself a worthy addition to the already superior social studies staff. The depart- ment is exploring a change in curriculum in the near future with the addition of World Geography as a requirement.
