Doesn t rt seem strange to be the Senior class when rt was such a short trme ago that vue were yust rh1n1es7 Remember how brg we thought vue were as we entered hrgh school? We soon learned, how ever, that we were pretty msrg- nrfrcant compared to the upper classmen We looked forward to the day when we would be the Senror class ofT R H S And before we even realrze rt we were Semors' What made the years speed by so sw1ftly7 Way back rn 1951 we mvaded the halls of TRHS We drdn t do too much rn the way of school actrvrtres but we were so busy frndrng our way around that we wouldn t have needed anythrng else to keep us occupred We were very proud of our represent atron on the honor roll We had 0lll0l'S Fxrst Row Pat Stlckler secretary Doug Turnbull presl dent Connxe Wilhelm treasurer Second Row Todd Beck vrce presldent Miss Anderson and Mr Peterson advisors seven honor students As our frrst year as rhrmes ended we eagerly awarted the next year when we would be freshmen In our freshmen year we became more experrenced and better acquaxnted wrth the school Thrs year we began to attend the varrous games and dances We had a paper drrve whrch we thought was loads of fun Two of our reserve football players, Larry O Dell and jrm Hurd were promoted to the varsrty toward the end of the season We really began to feel our oats rn our sophomore year Step by step we were clrmbrng to the top We began to garn recognrtron from other classes whxch made us feel more rmportant We began to partrcrpate rn varrous events Many of our boys were on the Varsrty football team and the Re serve team rn basketball was composed almost wholly of sophomores Three grrls from our class were cheerleaders too We had several money makrng proyects durrng the year a bake sale and an all school party fthe Hokey Pokey Hopj We were also the frrst class to take the Drrver Educatxon Course We began our yunror year by sell1ng at two of the football games and sponsormg the dances after One of the hrghlxghts of our jumor year was our play On e rn Every Famrly On May 15 we sponsored the brggest event of our Junror year Starlrght Ecstasy the junror Senror Prom Thrs was looked on v.1th prrde by everyone who helped make rt a succe At the end of our lunror year vue began to look toward our semor year wrth both delrght and sadness However, we drdn t have trme to thrnk of berng sad or glad for our senror year was the busrest most excxtrng year of all We began thrs year by sellmg magazxnes and we certamly had reason to be proud We beat the record of any precedrng class and we sold enough to entrtle us to a plaque for the school When we began havmg our prctures taken we really felt lrke senrors Later, we were measured for our caps and gowns ordered our cards and announcements and started to thrnk of the future In February we presented our senror play Stag Lrne The end of the year brought what every senror had been wartrng for the senror tr1p We took a four day trrp to Washmgton and New York Commencement concluded not only another year but brought the end of our hrgh school career Some of us wxll be gorng to college, gettmg yobs gettmg marrred but whatever we do there wrll always lrnger rn our mmds fond memorres of the happy trmes and successful years spent rn hxgh school We wrsh to express our s1ncere apprecratxon to all our teachers, advrsors and everyone else who helped and dxrected us rn so many ways durmg our years rn hrgh school 1 ' Q Y .
