Sam- my was a member of the sophomore class, and he had many friends who will never forget their memories of him. Mrs. Norene Young, high school homemak- ing teacher, passed away in the Iourdanton Hos- pital on April 22, 1972, after a short illness. Mrs. Young had taught here for two years and was an extremely dedicated homemaking teach- er. Her kindness and willingness to assist will always be remembered. va ta .V ' si' 5 ,xx 1 i 2 X "The earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein. " - Psalm 24:1 DEDICATION We, the 1971-1972 Growl Staff, do hereby dedicate this yearbook to our high school principal, Mr. Carl Weber, Jr. , who has served Three Rivers High School in many different ways for nearly twenty years. Mr. Weber came to Three Rivers in 1952 and began teach- ing agriculture. In 1965 he became the high school principal. His patience and understanding have truly been an asset to the Three Rivers High School. By this dedication the staff wishes to express their apprecia- tion for his help and guidance. When you do so, my hope is that you might re- member with fondness your classmates, your teach- ers, and your high school days of which were so im- portant in making you what you are today. The best to you in future life, and may you meet life's challenges in a just and dignified man- ner. Carl Weber, Jr. I am indeed happy to have been given this op- portunity to express my personal congratulations to Mrs. Matkin and the Annual Staff for a job well done. I know that I, and l am sure that every stu- dent, will cherish the memories which this book will recall in the years ahead. My sincere wish for each of you is that you shall have a happy and successful future and that you will recall with pleasure your days spent in the Three Rivers High School. Sincerely, A. F. Cobb School annuals are pictorial records which re- cord most of the events and the students for a given school year, To achieve such a record book, the annual staff and the sponsor must work continually during the school year to meet all the deadlines connected with the production of the annual. The 1971-72 annual staff met all their deadlines and composed another outstanding annual. This annual will be viewed again and again throughout the coming years. Each time that someone opens this 1971-72 annual, he should thank the annual staff for doing such an outstanding job. I offer my congratulations and thanks now to the annual staff for another fine yearbook. Charles T. Arnott Elementary Principal JUNIOR HIGH PRINCIPAL As the years pass by, each of you will cherish and appreciate the great memories, the pictures, and the various activities that you were a part of in by-gone days. Congratulations to the Annual Staff and Mrs. Matkin for another job well done and to the Student Body for making our institution one we can all be proud of.
