Everybody who came to the dance had a chance to vote on the candidates, previously chosen by the entire student body. While the crowd danced to the music or laughed with the entertainers, the committee counted ballots and arrived at a decision. A poke bonnet and a sombrero, in lieu of a Coronet and a crown, went to the winners.

Bonfire crowd f6Frontier Daysn as the theme for Homecoming brought forth covered Wagons and cowboys with their ten-gallon hats and six-shooters. Seniors captured first prize in the parade and Hi-Teens took second. But fifteen other floats and two walking delegations joined in the fun that October day. The night before, a happy crowd had enjoyed the bonfire entertainment and had cheered when the Homecoming court was named. They let off steam at the big Free Fling on Friday night after the successful game with Argo and so were ready for the dress-up party on Saturday night. Dance decorations: Sue Crowley 25
