Home Economics Experiences The biggest challenge to the Home Economics department in the 70’s was going from a two-person department with four courses to a totally different curriculum containing thirteen courses taught by five teachers. The Home EC teachers met their challenge by spend- ing evenings and summer hours work- ing to revise the curriculum. This year and next year will be devoted to testing out the new curriculum. 86
