Of America Make Progress This year The Future Homemakers of America were involved in many activities throughout the year. District Covention at Boulder was one of the highlights of the year. Other activities were: a Christmas Party, a Mother and Daughter Banquet and State Competition. Officers of the club were: Tammy Cillessen. President: Robin Sandsledt, vice-president: Nancy Campling, treasurer, and Debbie Darland, secretary. Jean Urban and Laura Rogers served as historians for the club. All Around HERO Club had a busy and exciting year. One of the first activities HERO was in- volved in was the selling of Mum corsages for Homecoming and the decorating of a float for the Homecoming Parade. HERO also participated in the organization of the school canned food drive at Christ- mas. The main challenge of the 78-79 school year has been the club's work with the elderly at Castle Gardens. Some of the club members visited the nursing home on a weekly basis and found they really enjoy the friendships they built. 199
