Fahey HANG TOUGH i USHARPLY PER EVERANTU MX Commander Fahey was born in Gary, Indiana on October 5, 1942. He attended the University of Illinois and subsequently recieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1966. He attended the Graduate School of Business Adminis- tration at Michigan State University prior to entering the Navy in 1967. Commander Fahey was commissioned April 5, 1968 from OCS. He was a member of Class 35 of the Naval Destroyer School. His tours include Nuclear Power School, Electronics Material Officer, USS BRUMBY QFF 104455 Engineering Officer, USS PARLE QDE 70853 Engineering Officer, USS EDWARD McDONNELLq QFF 104353 Assistant. Engineering Training Officer, Commander Naval Air Force Atlantic Mobile Training Team, and Main Propulsion Assistant, USS JOHN F. KENNEDY QCV 675. He is reporting to USS THORN from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School where he received a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and was elected to, membership in Sigma Xi National Honorary Society. Sellgren Nobody tells 'me anything! Commander Sellgren was born in San Diego Cal1forn1a on March 10 1938 He recelved a Bachelor of Arts degree ln Economlcs from Stanford University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School and he is a graduate of the Armed Forces Staff College and Naval War College. Commander Sellgren was commissioned July 14, 1961 from OCS. Commander Sellgren comes to com- mand USS THORN from the Naval War College where he graduated with distinction. His decorations include the Bronze Star with Combat V , Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Unit Commenda- tion, National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with four Bronze Stars, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal with' Device.
