Before leaving Pascagoula, dependents were invited aboard to ride THORN back to Charleston. For a few days fathers, brothersg and sons had a chance to experience the Navy life. Many families'and friends gathered to see the mooring while the Navy Band welcomed us with music. After the long period in Pascagoula, many crewmembers were glad to be home to enjoy a short stand down with their families.
