Now, there are only l8 of us who stand on the top and gaze down the hill. We can recall many wonderful experi- SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS ences as-gladuallon from grammar School' President ...................... We have TVQSSUVQV -- i ----- Singleton DOVIG had to study to keep up the pace but we Reporter .... ..,.... C arole Kirk are proud of the scholastic average of our class. We are proud of the fine athletes we have produced up this climb. We realize we are ready to begin the climb of another hill on which much depends on how we have used these I2 steps. For many of us the way is not yet clear, A very high percentage of us plan to climb the hill of higher education, others to climb the hill called life's workg but one thing is certain for most of us-we will leave these beloved "Hills of Home." As we begin this new climb we can "look unto the hills from whence cometh my help," fmt! . we . WILLIAM G. BURGE, Football I, 2, 3, 4, Basketball I, 2,' 3, 4, FFA. I, 2, 3, 4. MARY ANNA CASSITY. Alice Megginson and Nancy Gillaspie Virginia Benton Virginia's Studios .szayy We feel that the entire annual staff has Con- tributed to the success of the "Thomisana." Our sponsors, Miss Helen Morgan, Mrs. Charlotte Low- ery, have excluded many of their regular activities for work on our yearbook, Many of us have spent sleepless nights outlining the work ahead of us, but we all feel that we have gained unlimited in- formation from our work on the Annual. ln working on this l9'53 edition of the "Thomis- ana" we have endeavored to create a yearbook that will serve two purposes-to entertain you now and to serve through the years as a record of your school life here at Thomasville l-ligh, We hope that we have succeeded in our task and we hope that you will enjoy this volume of the "Thomisana" as much as we have enjoyed producing it. Although it required hard work, head- aches, and a few frantic nights before the "deadline," it was not in vain. The product is a book of pleasant memories, a lasting reminder ot the wonderful times shared with good friends at "dear old Tl-l.S." .ai as .My .NNW 5 M 1 'ha ' 4- Q l,,l W . ,wifi QW, U x Q- lm, gb A fm ni? 3 .E P-3, G , 'Qiwgyfigg QKx'E,' -iff 1 www, W W A . , 5.8 I :gg yviuggw if .
