Ever seen a lemon twist? A quick way to see one is to look for one of the second grade students. Usually there will be at least one of two try- ing their skill at this new invention by Chemtoy. Most people would think that girls are the only ones who would have anything to do with this crazy new game, but they are dead wrong. After seeing the tele- vision commercial with the football player lemon twisting, the boys soon followed. Although the girls did it for fun, the boys lemon twisted in order to build strong mus- cles and coordination. tleftl The second graders work hard in pre- paring a May basket for all of the teachers. All of the baskets were handmade and con- tained a card, a plant and several small replicas of animals. flower leftl As part of the P.T.F.O. Christmas program, the second grade students sang Christmas Carols along with the first and third grades. lupper leftl Howard Hill, Richard Montgomery, Dwight Nelson, Angeline jackson and Tim Ingram are dreaming about getting out of school forthe summer. tupper rightl Lagena Pugh, Ammie Loper, Angeleine jackson, Vickie Digmon, Daryl Dement, Howard Hill and swflitcht-l Gibbs were all smiles when Mr, Etfwerirlgc was presented his May basket. On their class trip to Selma, they visited the fire station and the Coca Cola Bottling Co. At the fire station they were allowed to ex- amine the fire trucks and the fire fighting equipment.
