Everyone worked hard preparing for Homecoming 1975. The Pep Club helped build a tremendous spirit at Hat Day on Thursday which lasted the entire weekend. The cheerleaders seemed to never stop as they decorated the Homecoming float the entrance to the dance and also provided a spirit filled bonfire. Then boys supplied the action for the night but disappointingly lost 34-2 to the Southern Academy Cougars. The Homecoming Court beamed brightly as they circled the foot- ball field during halftime. Linda Springfield was crowned Home- coming Queen by the 1974 al Queen Sandra Gault. The night rocked on as music by King Size filled the air. It was a weekend filled with laughter tears and other emo- tions that are in another page of history at Thomasville Acad- emy. Practices: First Step Toward Victory After watching a well organized team at work, anyone can see the advantages of the practice sessions. These practices often consist of sweating hours with temperatures of 100 degrees in the shade and a booming voice known as Coach . Following the exercises and a few hours of practice a long awaited water break arrives. After three or four gulps the team starts back up. When the last sprint is run everyone pokes up the hill to pull off the ton of equipment and drag off to home. Wearily they awake the next morning and think of the afternoon practice, and they crawl back in-to bed. fupper rightl With the score in favor of the other team, Coach Clanton thinks ofa better game plan. flower rightl Bobby Digmon, Soph., second yr. letterman, and Kenneth Gaddy, lr., Second yr., letterman, run across the field to cut off the opposition. 6 Football
