They had a choice of courses that would prepare them either for college or a career in business. Some chose algebra and biology while others chose general business and general math. Decisions on sports were much easier to make. Several of them participated in football, basketball, baseball, or track. At their Christmas party the Freshman forgot their studies and enjoyed a good old shaving party, spraying one another and any other unfortunatestudent. tupper far rightl Mike Harper, Steve Wilson, and Ken Nichols are some of the Freshmen that enjoyed a shaving cream fight at their Christmas party, tcenter far rightl Scott Evans, Ken Nichols, and Steve Wilson talk about ' school happenings. flower far rightl Rack Dig- ' -fl mon, Carolyn Caddy, jo Ann Sims, and Rhonda s Af' ,N Y '4 Brasell begin their morning gathering their Q V V J. All of them enjoy skating whether it is the excitement of skating as fast as they can or just improving their skating skills. The veterans find pleasure in the races and games such as scooter racing and whistle skating. The beginners have a hard time learn- ing how to skate when this group in- vades the rink. Most of the beginners hug the rails. Those daring enough to risk leaving the safety of the rails usually get pushed down. In the end the eighth graders are tired and sore but happy. It doesnt take long to recover from their bruises and then theyre off again V - ww-'e L-.,-rv -nnvsnn .aa-.em . K- k I I , -T on another skatingtrip. j ,, , .tr Eighth Grade 99
