Top places in the junior High beauty review were ac- Q, quired by 7th grade girls. Several 7th graders also competed in the state track meet. To keep pace with modern trends, they learned how to find dry, liquid, and linear measurements in the metric system. They studied and even baked metric. They really have pedal power as they round the bend and come to a sudden stop. The stop sign means only tem- porary rest for them. They turn the corner and race down a shady dirt raod. All you see is a glint of steel and a long trail of dust behind them, When the dirt road intersects with the main road, they glide easily on the smooth gravel. Clean, fresh air and exercise really appeal to them. The scenery is another important reason the 7th graders ride. They take in everything happening around them. Sometimes they like the stillness of the country side mingled with their merry chatter. At other times they prefer the noise and the busy streets of town.
