glacial, Studies Dbsflazfmsnf Psychology Seems Interesting Civics and history are foundations for our future building and, although they may seem dull at first, We soon begin to realize their importance. Through them we learn how problems concerning our nation in the past were solved and are prepared to face the problems the future holds for our generation. Sociology and psychology teach us how to live and how to get along with each other. This phase of education does much to train our students in good citizenship. fizgfisg Dspazfmsnf Attention in Speech Class One of the first things we are taught and something we never really finish learning is the use of English. Simple though it may sound when the teacher says, Write an essayf' or Hand in an original poem Monday, we begin to mourn our lost weekend. Still the teachers don't get discouraged and they keep on trying. Hand in a one-act play, quote these lines, mmorize thisf' seems to be their favorite sentences. Not that we mind because after all we are here to learn. l Dear de, X, y, and Z Jlflaffismafica Dbsflazfmsni Lately, much stress has been put on the importance of all mathe- matics, algebra, and geometry and it is found that the number of students enrolling for these classes is steadily increasing. Although the value of X, Y, and Z, discourage most students, some survive and these brave souls face geometry and trig classes, pref paring for problems in the future. Mechanical drawing, taught by Mr. Roy Hague, is a popular course esepecially for boys and the ever increasing need for compasses, rulers, and T-squares goes on. Mr. Williani Stewart Sponsor: Basketball Miss Estelle Butler Sponsor: Honor Society Averages, Class Day fanguagss Esfaazbmenf Both a cultural and practical course is the two years of Latin which students take from Mrs. Verta Cox. In accordance with this the Classical Club has been organized. It sprang from suggestions offered at the Latin Forum in Tallahassee which a number of Jefferson Latin students attended. Spanish, taught by Mr. Rick Zabaldo, seems to be very entertaining as it is rumored Qand you can believe this onej that the second year students are required to speak only Spanish in that period. Some fun! Sponsor: - Mrs. Verta Cox Sponsor: Monticello, Quill and Scroll, Classical Club Mr. Ricky Zobaldo Key Club
