The 1951 52 school year was a very busy and successful one for the music department, starting with the F1remen's parade at Philadelphia in September The band won a first prize of thirty five dollars The music department's list of activities includes the Potsdam All State Band Program Pat Shaughnessy, Beverly Finley, Janice Busler, and John Huddleston were selected to per form in this fine group. Amateur Night was presented in the fall and the Winter Concert on January 18th. The Spring Concert was on April 4th in which the Senior and Junior Bands as well as the Glee Club presented a fine program of choral and band music. After learning the fundamentals, we entered some of the boys in the Class C School Competition at the Watertown Invitational Track Meet. One of this year's graduates, Ted Leeson, placed fourth in the half mile run. This year coach will take a wrest- ling team to Watertown to an invitational meet where only those schools that have just introduced wrestling may participate.
