,f JJ . 4 's ,h c FV' WILLIAM HARADLN MAXNWLLL Our only representative from the Pine Tree State Bill made a name for himself wlaen hc won the Edward fulness courtesy and frrendlrncss w hrch won him this prrze have also gained hrm many friends during has three years at The Gunnery Because of hrs genuine rnttrest rn good music Brll w as elected to the positron of President of the Music Club where he drd a very efficient job not only rn rncrt asrng the membership of the club but also rn introducing for the first time Underclassmen representatracs At the end of hrs un ror year Brll was elected Editor rn Chief of the school Yearbook a task which he undertook with hrs usual enthusiasm This was another field rn w hrch Brll fur thered hrs belief rn democracy by electing Underclass men to the staff of the Red and Gray When he was not acting to get a new Senior privilege taking library duty or marntarnrng order as a Senior Monitor rn Cottage Bill was to be seen playing soccer or tennrs Next year Bill rs to go back to the North to Vermont to be more precise to take up hrs positron in the Class of 1961 at Middlebury PAUL SEVERIN MARSTED A socialite from New Haven Sev came to The Gun- nery in his unior year and began a short but lively career punctuated by the snorts of Ferrari Mondiales and incessant telephone calls from a certain young lady at home Always impeccably dressed Sev con trary to public oprnron did not change hrs watchband every week A staunch member of the Current Affairs Club Sev also catered to hrs music al taste by partrcrpat rng rn both the Music Club and the Glee Club An able journalist Sev was on the masthead of the Near as well as serving as Sports Editor of the Ref! and Gray Through this positron he was largely responsible for the design of the new format for the Varsity sports Translating hrs literary abrlrty into something more tangible Sev could be seen playing left wing on the Varsity Soccer squad playing on tlae right wing on the Varsrty Hockey squad and driving the ball reasonably straight on the Golf squad Next year Sev rs going to attend Hamilton rn New York 5- 'tr' ,.'
