WILLIAM COTTON DAMON II One of the few five year members of the Sen1or Class Cott crme to The Gunnery from Norwich Con necticut Lining in Hurlburt for his Senior year Cott kept his roommate pacihed by giving him free render ings of such things as Over the H1115 and Far Away Im Walk1ng and also an ar1a from Pucc1n1 some times known as You Butterfly W1th a serious love for music of any k1nd Cott vyas the mainstay of any musical organization he joined He was a member of the MUSIC Club for three years the Vespcr Choir for four years and the Glee Club for four years becoming its Business Manager 1n his final year Calso in connec tion with the Glee Club Cott was a member of the Ten Tones as well as the unior and Semor uartetsl Mrs Mercer regretted losing Cott who had distinguished himself as one of the schools keenest and most en thusiastic musicians Cott played two years on the Varsity Soccer and Hockey squ1ds His vrlue in the second bo rt vyas more thin once made apparent Wife hope that Cotts enthusiasm for all that he does will carry him through four very happy and successful years at College CHARLES ACRLR MAN CRAWFORD A resident of Wfxlton Ncxx X ork Chrrlie came to The Gunnery in his Junior year and immediately his pleasrnt character md modesty cnyelopcd him 1n 1 close circle of fr1ends Witla a yery fine bass Charlie was a mainstly of both the Vesper Choir and the Glee Club becoming Prcsrdent of the litter in his Senior year Anothcr of Ch 1rl1es officcs 111 thc cxtra curri cular field vs as the Vice Presidency of the Debating Club Besides SCI'Nl1'lg on the Library Committee Charlie also xoiced his opinions at the Current Affairs Club where he was a strong member of the II1sen hower Republican group In his second year after his 1n1t1at1on into Football Charl1e yoined the J V Soccer Squ 1d During the Winter he vyound skin and bones around anyone light enough to oppose him on the wrestling m its yyhilc throughout thc Spring he donned his white shorts to pl ty on the V Tennis squad In Br1nsmade Next Fall Clnrlre is going South of the Mason Dixon Line to attend college He IS enrolled in the Class of 1961 rt the Unix ersity of Florida fin .I w ww--' 1 ' s 2 Q .
