This was also the finishing order in the other two races with the Second Boat winning by 1K2 lengths and the Third Boat by one length. The following Wednesday May 4 Gunnery travelled to Poughkeepsie N. Y. to row against Arlington High School. Although they had never towed over a one mile course and were not used to the extremely choppy Hudson River the Red and Gray added another clean sweep to their record. The First Boat came from behind to win by M of a length. The Second Boat and Third Boat also getting off to poor starts won by one length each. Saturday May 7 the first three boats were once again off to match oats against South Kent. The results were the same as the previous meeting with the Third Boat race being a little closer. When The Gunnery raced on home waters on May ll for the first time in the season, they had little trouble in keeping their record unblemished. The First Boat won over Poughkeepsie High School by Eve lengths in their first three quarter mile race of the year. The Second Boat, with Dan Harmon setting the pace at stroke, jim johnson pulling our number three, Phil Houck at two, Ralph
