1 QWJN ,W ACTION AROUND THE SUFFIELD CAGE VARSITY HOCKEY REVIEW anuary 29 Hotchkiss tallied once in the first twice in the second and finished up with two more in the final period to crush the visiting Gunnery squad 5 0 The Red and Gray were forced to play an almost entirely defensive game as the Hotchkiss line proved all too fast The Gunnery defense offense and spirit held high against the Trinity Pawl ing Varsity on February 3 until the third period with the score 1 0 for T P But the third period saw T P s endurance getting the better of The Red and Gray defense to the tune of 5 goals Again Captain Ken Adams was outstanding on the Gunnery squad Playing an almost scoreless and almost entirely defensive game The Red and Gray went down to defeat 3 0 at the hands of Westminster February 5 Goalie Tom Wood played well in the nets thwarting 29 of the 32' shots The stickmen had their second win of the season and against Millbrook in their hands February 9. Then in the hnal period the opposition struck for one and forced the first stalemate of the season 2-2. Gary and Gund scored the two Gunnery tallies. February 12 The Gunnery stickmen went down to a decisive 6-O defeat at the hands of Berkshire. The starting team was Wood at goal Griggs and Gund defensemen and Captain Adams Gary and Miller were the first line. A spirited and much improx ed Gunnery Hockey Team went down to defeat at the hands of Canterbury, February 12. After early scores by Gary and Miller, the opposition struck back with a two point rally to give a 3-2 decision. death blow to give a 3-2 decision. Dwight Miller scored the lone Gunnery tally in a 4-1 decision against a veteran Salisbury sextet, February 23. The opposition was entirely too steady and accurate for the Red and Gray defense.
