Editors Write -30- to the 964 Story Never were members of, The Wolverine, staff happier to write -30-to a story than to this, the 1964, Big Story. Never was a school yearbook prepared by a larger staff, 38, to be exact. To all of you we, the editors, say, Thanks. Especially, do we say, Thanks, to the Co-editors of The Wolverine's Tale, K athle en Smith and Hazel DeWittie. Without these two and others who wrote copy and typed, the yearbook could not have been prepared, Staffs of the two publications are inseparable, lt's been fun working on both publications. To you who are now reading this message for the first time, we would like to say that we hope your yearbook will be forever a pleasure in reading and a constant re- minder of the year, 1963-64 at Texico High, Co-editors, Don Chandler Ellen Caillouet Editors of Wolverineis Tale Reminisce on 1964 Some of the rewards of working as editors of, The Wolverines T ale , are the awards r e c e iv ed from P.H.S.P.A. and West Texas Press Associations. But the biggest reward is working with others on the publications staffs. 1963-64 has been a banner year for us, Kathleen Smith Hazel DeWittie 144 . ,,rr . as T Don Chandler and Ellen Caillouet, co-editors of The 1964 Wol- verine, typed hour after hour to meet final deadline, Kathleen Smith, places the latest trophy, first place on the paper at the West Texas High School Press Association, into the trophy case. Hazel DeWittie H old s an armfull of trophies won by both year- book and newspaper staffs, in years past.
