STRENG Dean Streng, as dean of TLC shows his aptitude for hiswork by his unflagging interest in and helpfulness to all the stu- dents. His true Christian spirit and devotion to duty have no doubt helped many a bewil- Qdered student to find his way through life. Besides his duties as dean, Dean Streng is also head of the 'Bible Department, sponsor ot the Pre-Theos and tifvery- ,active member ot-E the Student Faculty Council. fStu- dents ot TLC will remember his advice with respect and grat- itude. y -+- not e t 1 PRES. WM. F. KRAUSHAAE A big smile and a pince-ni are the sure means of iden tying our Prexyl That smi gives one a key to his whe characterg for he is one of tl friendliest, most Warm-heartl men on the TLC campus. Tl is one place Where it is a plea ure to be called into the Pre dent's office. Although he ist extremely busy man, he. c Ways has time to help anyo who comes to him. Prexy carries this same spi. into his unforgettable Germ Classes Where the students ci Clare he puts lohn Barrymq in the shade when he is ti ing to show them how to p nounce an "o", 4 L L .K g . L ,MRS-. LEON1-X BOGISH ' i Mrs. B., our beloved Dean of Women may be seen day or night helping someone with her Wonderful advice or her sympathetic .ear. She has charge of the girls P. T. she supervises the dining roomy and she is an assistant in the English. department. P DR. E. I. BRAULICK Most of the T.L.C. has come to know Dr. Braulick as Pastor of Emmanuels Lutheran Church in Seguin. This year Sophomores have had the opportunity to learn to know this brilliant man through his English Literature course. REV. FRANKLIN BREHMER Any Biologygstudent will tell you Rev. Brehmer really knows his "stuff," Bufo the Toad will probably linger long in the. memories of his classes. Rev. Brehmer, as the rest of the Science Dept., shows that religion and science does mix. , MR. W. W. CHRISTIANSON Mr. Christy's huge smile and persuasive words have probably brought more students' to T.L.C. since he is Public Relations Director than any other one' thing. His sincere interest in any- ,thing T.L.C. has won him the devotion of all who know him. tim MR. W. N. CORDER I "Coach" may be seen ambling along whether it be to his Business Administration classes, out to the gym to help coach the boys, or to settle some knotty problem about our meals as headt of the Commons. The college couldnt do Without him. MISS KATHERINE DIEHL Orientation lectures in the library are Fresh- men's first impressions ot T.L.C'. But the students learn that Miss Diehl is invaluable as our efficient librarian and capable instructor of the Speech Class. She helps students to help themselves. MISS EVELYN FIEDLER Another new faculty member is Miss Fiedler as head of the Chemistry Department. Al- though she looks like any student on the carn- pus her capabilities have been proved by the interest she takes in the various committees and organizations she participates in, MR. RUDOLPH FIEHLER Mr. Fiehler, from St. Louis, Missouri loves his "Post-Dispatch" as his Freshmen English and Iournalism classes will testify to. His memories of Working on a newspaper make for very interesting listening and his students get out of more class-work that way. t v MR. FRITZ LEHNHOFF Coach Lehnoff, another new addition to the Faculty, 'is T.L.C.'s able Football Coach who pulled our team through to victory toward the end of the season. With him as coach, we can count on a laurel or two. A greater and more extensive athletic season is his goal. ' MR. A. GUSTAFSON As registrar, "Prof" is the first person new students meet. If they have mathematical or scientific minds, they are likely to meet him again in Physics, Calculus, or anything equal- ly as impossible for the, dense mind, Prof's good nature and keen mind make him indis- pensable. MRS. HUGO GIBSON Another new addition to the faculty but an old friend of T.L.C. is Mrs. Gibson, instructor oftlvlathematics. When anyone of her suffer- ing students gets into trouble with an equa- tion, Mrs. Gibson is there to help him out of his difficulties and to give him new hope. REV. HUGO GIBSON "Everything comes from the Greeks." This is Rev. Gibson's slogan which he elaborates upon at length along with exciting travelogues in his language or Bible classes. The typical absent-minded professor, Mr. Gibson is be- loved by all his harried students. x H4 f ' 'H' -wr .- ,- ' W ...v .. 1, CE 1 W -. The forty members were chosen by the director through try-outs. Membership in the second choir provides an opportunity for choral training for those students who could not be accommodated by the fifty-number limit of the first choir. The choir serves as a reserve group to replenish outgoing members of the first choir. Besides the traditional Christmas carolling, the choir activities have included several appearances during the second semester of the school year.
