Future Farmers keep up with latest techniques and trends FTQTL-RE FARMERS of America was a learning organization that concentrated on the very latest techniques in farming. There were numerous projects throughout the year. both in' dividual and chapter-wide. such as the chapter broiler project and the indixidual production projects. Sponsoring the Com- munity Rodent Control program was one of F.F.,-Lis many com- munity services. The ambitious farmers combined business with pleasure by attending the State Fair of Texas. the Houston Fat Stock Show. and the State F.F.fX. Convention in Austin. The boys were proud of their F.F.'X. Sweetheart. Judy Sanders. whom they sponsored in the :Xrea l .F.rX. Sweetheart Contest. Wlith high hopes for a successful career the Future Farmers worked and studied. always dreaming: of the day when they would no longer be farmers of the future but farmers of the pre- sent. Science Club stimulates curiosity through lectures and projects i'TO IXSTIGATE AND DEVELOP the talents and abil- ities of its members and to stimulate curiosity and in- terest in the field of scienceu is the purpose of the Science Club. Established as a lecture organization, the club spon- sored talks each month by professors. engineers, doc- tors, and other persons having knowledge of the widen- ing field of science. These talks were often accompanied by interesting demonstrations. Though the club did not require projects. a number AT A SCIENCE CLIIB met-ting. Mr. Bowers.
