Aspirit reflected in a friendly campus. A person can walk through the University not knowing anyone, and still be greeted by “howdy” or “hello.” Although enroll¬ ment approaches 35,000, Aggies are close-knit and acknowledge the common experience they share at Texas A M. On a cowhide bench in the MSG, on the steps of Harrington and Francis Halls, or by the Rudder fountain, students meet with friends new and old. Aggies know they have a friend anywhere there is another Aggie, even if they have never met.

jA. spirit kept alive by active students who take time to get involved. Whether in the campus, community, state, or nation, Aggies take part in the world around them. On campus there are over 400 organizations in which thousands of students take part. Former students include corporate executives, city officials, and state and national legislators. Being an Aggie includes a responsibility to be of service to mankind. Donn Friedman
