Although it is only their second year on campus, the women have moved in and had an effect on ever¬ yone. They are an important part of the University for they have proved that spirit, school pride and aca¬ demic achievement are not limited to one sex. Popularly known among the men as ' Maggies the girls have tripled the number of women ' s dorms in one year. Besides Krueger, they now possess Hughes, Keathley, and Fowler. They have added the woman ' s touch to the dorms with colorful curtains in the win¬ dows, potted plants on the breezewasy and drying clothes on the balconies. The women have jumped right into place at the school and have become active in every facet of cam¬ pus life. In student government, more and more women are running for offices and almost every com¬ mittee or organization involves the girls. Spirit is another contribution of the fairer sex. The women hump it and yell like the male students, and the ' Maggies ' have proved they are part of the Twelfth Man. Living areas for women include Krueger, Keathley, Fowler, and Hughes. Krueger is in its second year as a women ' s dorm and offers facilities such as sauna, study rooms, and a lounge. The last three dorms differ from Krueger in that they were formerly inhabited by men. The girls of these three balcony dorms display their dorm pride by shirts that read ' Hughes Hustlers ' Keathley Korps and Fowler Jocques. ' So the women of TAMU have added school spirit to athletic events, leadership in organizations and gentle curves on Keathley Beach.
