This was the first human occupancy in Pedro Valley. Rancho San Pedro became the ownership to Francisco Sanchez. The land extended seams from the valley to include about 9,000 acrw. It was broken up more than 104 years ago to different ownerships. The Sanchez Building has had many changes f.- ,N through the years. The Ocean Shore railroad ran along the coastside in the 1910's. Artichoke fields and onlyaary half a dozen homes in San Pedro terrace existed in the 1920's. About 150 families settled in the valleysinfabout 1955. There was no house-to-house mail and the only phone was a pay phone on lower Rosita.Road.QT.here were no street lights. There were 102 pints donated by students and faculty for this years' blood drive, with 30 people referred. X r I be if F LUOD in PACIF ICA Pacifica has rarely hit the news, but this year when it did it was to report the worst disaster to ever hit the city. Some homes were lost, some were damaged, but the worst news of all was that of the death of the three Velez children. Throughout the rainy season people were in and out of their houses trying to save what they could from disaster. Many Terra Nova students got involved with the clean-up. 90 American Red Cross SUCK HOP The Sock I-lop was put on by the student body to raise money for the disaster victims.
