The Masqued Players are college students and faculty who participate in the productions of the Department of Speech and Theater. The club provides the college, local schools, and the city with an artistic outlet for all those who wish to express themselves in the theater. The sponsor is Lynn E. Whiting. The officers are Pres. Gordon Delashmitt; Vice-Pres. Phillip Hill. This years activities include the productions of Gift of the Magi for the Children ' s Theater, and the spring production of Darrow For the Defense. The annual banquet will be held in May to honor members for best actor and actress and the directors award. 29

S.A.M. S.A.M. is a business oriented organization. It ' s main purpose is to excite student interest and to provide knowledge through student interaction with local businesses. S.A.M. advisors were Bryan Jackson and B.T. Hudson. The S.A.M. activities included: The Car Bash at the Halloween Arts Festival, a tour of the Mayfield Dairy plant, the Jack Daniels Distillery, and a trip to Six Flags. The officers were Pres. Alph; c Alpha Chi is a National College Honor [ Scholarship Society. It is open to both men and women who rank in the top -i ten of their junior, senior, and graduating classes. They must also have a GPA of 3.2. Character and reputation are also considered for membership. Alpha Chi is lead by advisor Courtney Senn and the officers this year include: Pres. Scott Hatfield; Vice-Pres. Jerri Burris; Sec. Tracie Carter; Treas. Steve Bandy; SGA Rep. Scott Hatfield. The Alpha Chi faculty advisor was Courtney Senn. Alpha Chi also makes selections for Outstanding teacher of the year.
