Consolidation a ' IIW Consolidation is a group of the eight most talented students who were picked by auditions. They sing mainly Contemporary Pop and some religious songs. Consolidation sang on one side of the record that the Music Dept. cut. Consolidation performed at the Alumni Weekend, Hospitality Weekend, halftime of a Basketball game, several churches, Choir tour and College Visitation for Parents and possible new students. The group consisted of LouAnn Borden, Denna Middleton, Tenna Middleton, LeeAnn Hicks, Danny Black, Chip Hicks, Gordon Delashmitt, and Frank Ford. The New Exponent is the TWC Newspaper. Jane Cate served as editor, and Dr. Wiggins was their faculty advisor. The paper was published twice quarterly. It is financed by SGA. The staff consisted of Editor Jane Cate; staff workers; Michael Rhinehart, Tim Smith, Rhenda Wallen, Diana Kelly and Sharon McCormack. Staff photographer was Warren Croft. Their SGA representative was Rhenda Wallen. 22

s p r 1 n g s The Springs of Helicon is the TWC literary magazine. It is produced once a year and contains art work, short fiction, student photography, and poetry. The James Bryant Wilson award is given out for Religious Poetry. The Springs of Helicon survives on quality and originality. This years editor was Curtis Tucker, assistant editor; Gale Cooley, Art director; Frank Ford, and other staff members were; Trade Carter, Kathy Gamble, and Sharon McCormidy.
