Another year of the people and places and events which mold Wesleyan, and by which we are molded at Wesleyan. The warmth of friendships, the wealth of intellectual treasure, and the wonder of youth — set in an atmosphere of stately beauty — have blended for over a century to create a heritage unsurpassed. This is the past on which Wesleyan was built, and it is on the remembrance of days past that we build the present. Today . . . a time of glittering dreams, bittersweet memories, visions of a shining future. Today we remember yesterday and plan for tomorrow as we strive together to uphold the standards of those who came before us. An ever-changing curriculum to meet the demands of an ever-changing world, a unity of individuals in classes and a strong student body, leaders and followers all working together to make ours an active campus. Spirit, high ideals, activities, scholastics, fun, a place for every- one — simple things, but things which make today. And today holds promise for tomorrow. sr fciJ;n7 Tomorrow . . . the product of both yesterday and today which lies before us as a challenge. This challenge of the future demands our utmost efforts in mind and body as we seek to be worthy of the college we attend. We face a new world, a world of technolo- gical innovations, different traditions, and a changing society. This is the new world toward whicli Wesleyan advances, and the tomorrow for which we prepare our- selves here. The path to the future is illuminated by the light of learning, and it is this path we follow as we walk from the shadows of yesterday to the brilliance of tomorrow.
