OUR PRESIDENT THE HAND OF WELCOME AND FAREWELL .... President James L. Robb stands at the door of the Administration Building, as he has many times stood, to welcome those who come here and to say goodbye to those who go. Each September a new class enters; each June an old class leaves, and the door is forever a symbol of a new life — a new life for all who come, a new life for all who go.

DEDICATION TO PROFESSOR S. C. EVINS, the Senior Class makes this dedication with no reservations, for it has been well earned in the services he has rendered to each of us. When our sky looked cloudy, he could always bring a ray of sunshine, showing a purpose behind any action we couldn ' t understand. He has dedicated himself to the task of instilling in in- quiring students a love for the finer in literature, an analytical mind, and an appreciation of the creative arts; and although his sometimes inquisitive nature made us shake in our shoes, this martyr of learning, never failed in his wit and humor to remain a distinct individual. He stands as a symbol of achievement in the realm of books, at all times sincere and genuine in his opinion, and in our thinking he will remain a master craftsman of the classroom.
