But the lack of ties with normal dress in Tempe has its drawbacks. A guy quickly forgets how to tie one. But there are compensations as when Junior Scott West got a helping hand from Junior Jennifer Flannagan to get the maverick piece of cloth knotted tightly against his neck. Campus Life-139 Bicycles remained one of the most popular models of transportation, particularly in these days of rising ?asoline prices. Though most upper classmen preferred cars to the two wheelers, enough bikes transported empe High students to fill two security compounds. The daily bus ride was not the favorite way to end a day. But hundreds depended on the big yellow transports to get them close enough to their homes that walking wasn't an unbearable chore. 140-Campus Life Looking like he just rode in from the range is Senior Vic Mathews, sporting a black cowboy hat and boots. Planning for the Prom kept them busy because there were so many things to be done. Thinking of a theme, finding a band and interviewing photographers were just a few items on the agenda. The whole junior class participated in a candy sale in December, selling candy from their American History classes. All the money raised went towards the Prom. After all the hard work they put into their main project, and after all the time spent from the beginning of the school year to the night of the Prom, the few hours that it lasted went by much too quickly, but the juniors hope it was a memorable experience for every- one who took part. 168-Classes Jodene Agee Natalie Aguilar Anna Alvarez Annette Mark Mike Joni Dan Lisa Anderson Anderson Andres Ayres Babb Bagby Mary Ann Carla Debbie Balizado Ballard Bartlett Tom Lora Bahling Mark Baldacchino Classes-169 Junior Cheryl Craw studies in the Quad during her free time.
