Phillips, J. Norvell, I. Peterson, C. Pope. PEP CLUB The purpose of the Pep Club is to stimulate interest in athletics, give support to various activities, and to promote school spirit. The Athletic Banquet This year the Pep Club sold wreaths and holly at Christmas time and sold at several athletic events. They also sponsored an hour dance after a basketball game, and helped the Kiwanis put on the annual Athletic Banquet. Mrs. Boyden, Pep Club sponsor and mathematics teacher

CHEERLEADERS The Varsity and B-Team Cheerleaders started this year by attending the Wesleyan Cheerleading Clinic. The Varsity Cheerleaders later attended a clinic at the University of Nebraska. They entertained the cheerleaders from Nebraska City and Johnson at a supper before the games with the two towns, and were entertained at a supper by the Syracuse Cheerleaders. At one of the last basketball rallies they presented a skit and the basketball team's first five took charge of the cheerleading.
