Mrs. Tabackman Mrs. Tabackman Leaves Tech Mrs. Sadie Tabackman, after many years of devoted service, retired from the teaching profession last June. Twenty of the thirty-five years she has been teaching here at Tech. Mrs. Tabackman graduated from Westfield State Teachers College. At Boston University she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree and then went on to get her Master's Degree at Springfield College. In addition to her Master's, Mrs. Tabackman took courses at Harvard, Yale, A.|.C. and Smith College. When asked how she felt about reti:ing, Mrs. Tabackman answered, ‘‘Happy!’’ She plans to travel, read, and study in her favorite fields of learning; which are history, philosophy, and literature. Commenting about leaving Tech, Mrs. Taback- man had the following to say; ‘‘l have had the satisfaction of working with and helping many fine students. Their success in college has been a source of gratification to me. Many who did not go beyond Tech have achieved success in their work and have often visited me to tell me about their achievements. The many genuine friendships | have formed over the tears with my colleagues and students | shall always treasure, and | shall always consider it an honor to have been a member of the Tech family.”’ As Tech students, we also regard it an honor to have had the opportunity to study under such a wonderful person and a great teacher. Tech will miss Mrs. Tabackman tremendously.
