In Memoriam IN MEMORIAM Melvin A. Lynch, Lieutenant Commander, U.S. Naval Reserve Assistant Principal of Technical High School, 1954-1966 Sept. 24, 1901—July 3, 1966 Tech meant everything to Mel. Mel was a friend to every Techite. He was my closest friend. His experience made him eminently well qualified for his work— teacher, athletic coach, sports official, counselor, naval officer, school admin- istrator. His sound and valued judgment influenced every phase of school life at Tech. His untiring efforts in behalf of all that would be good for Tech were al- ways freely given. His companionship was a treasure that | shall never lose—whether it was while working on Tech's master program together, or trout fishing, or attending school functions, or simply our families celebrating Christmas together. Tech was privileged to have had the services of this great schoolman. | was privileged to have had such a loyal and good friend. —DONALD G. GIFFORD Principal of Technical High School
