In each senior'’s memory there is one definite spot set aside just for his teachers.Oh! how constant were our complaints about the tons of homework” or the “unfair C, but how really grateful we are to these teachers who have guided us through high school. This faculty, which not only taught us our A-B-C's, but also set our standard for good citizenship and success and willingly helped with all our extracurri- cular activities from the Ski Club to Tech Tantrums, will always hold the spot foremost in our memories. In Memoriam a soa. CHARLES R, ALLAN March 8, 1902 -- February 20, 1963 From September 1930 to February 1963, Technical High School had been graced by the presence of Charles Reid Allan, a gentleman anda scholar, a beloved teacher and a highly respected and admired colleague. Although keenly interested in his subject, physics, he was more interested in his students, and strove to stimulate their minds in the direction of ever greater achievement. Fortunate were those young people who came under his benign and constructive influence and learned his meticulous way of doing things. He was devoted to the aims and ideals of this school and put his whole heart in his work. Of him it may be truly said he was a great teacher. His deathhas been an irrevocable loss to all of us, for he combined in his person those qualities of character, mind, and spirit which have inspired us in the past and will con- tinue to do as long as Tech endures. His memory is a blessing.
