We present, in words and pictures, a cross section of the education we acquired here. The world is now at war, a mechanical war on a colossal scale. We, as graduates of Technical High School, are in a favorable position to apply ourselves quickly to the national emergency and to help bring about a speedy end to this supreme conflict. VVe like to look upon this book as a blueprint to victory. With devotion to our country, with pride in our school, and with confidence in ourselves, we present the theme of this Tech Tiger issue: A Technical education is a Blueprint for Victory. He has given us Technicades which, largely through his efforts, have been a tremendous success. He is the willing giver, receiver, and able supporter of all new sound ideas and suggestions. By means of his dynamic personality, he has won the respect of all he has come in contact with. Through his foresight, many changes have already been made and many more will be made to make Tech the outstanding school of its kind. To Mr. Donald G. THE HISTORY OF THE It was a bitter cold, snowy day in February, 1939, when proudly through the doors of Technical High School marched four hundred little children Cor should we say young men and women ?D confident that they were going to show Tech High a thing or two. At least that was the feeling until the inner halls were reached with their seemingly numberless doors and corridors. Sky-towering seniors confidently sauntered by, abstaining from so much as noticing the awed freshmen. After making several inquiries as to the location of the assembly hall, Clt was right in front of us all the timej we timidly entered the spacious room and were officially welcomed to Tech by Major Adams. Each of us was then assigned to a room and shown its location by a member of the student patrol. So, after a few preliminaries, the class of January 1942 was ready to go. On February 13, we were given an inspiring Pro Merito Assem- bly in which the upper classmen explained the qualifications for Tech's honor society and why we should work for that goal. A week later, February 21, was the date of an unforgettable G.A.A. initiation. With dresses far above the knees, cute little bonnets and rattles, the girls courageously underwent the initia- tion and for once were glad that no boys were to be found on the Tech premises. It seemed on perusal of our hrst report cards that the Pro Merito Assembly had taken little or no effect on us as our class boasted only 2.7fZ, on the honor roll. Proof that we were be- coming acclimated in our studies was given by our jump to a 4.9176 rating on the second report. Our first six months passed by rather uneventfully as far as our actually taking part in activities was concerned, but we have the numerous motion picture assemblies and Miss Moodie's Ha- waiian Assembly to look back upon with pleasure. In September, 1939, we became 10A's and with our added age and wisdom began to immerse ourselves in our school events and functions. The first important event of the year was the Student Association Drive. The people elected from the 10A home rooms to act as student collectors were Michael Biakis, Richard Dufresne, and Harry McGill. Gathering for the first time as a unit, our class assembled in the Technical Auditorium on October 3, to start the machinery for class organization. Richard Swords acted as chairman of the meeting and introduced Marion Edwards, who read the proposed class constitution. It was then voted upon by the class and unanimously accepted. CLA SS OF JANUARY, 1942 Class elections were held October 30, 1939. Those elected were Douglas Lenkoski, presidentg Harry Danos, vice-president: Nestor Brown, secretary, Marion Edwards, member-at-large, and Harry McGill, student council representative. Our first venture into society was in the form of an afternoon social in the boys' gym, December 6, 1939. Douglas Lenkoski was at the head of the Social Committee. Games were played under the leadership of students from Springfield College and dancing enjoyed to the melodious rhythms of Fanning's orchestra. Mary Rose Lyons and Richard Dufresne joined the Tech News staff while Dot Dewar, Muriel Downie, Ann Foisey, Esther Harris showed promise of becoming a successful foursome in athletics. Our first Christmas at Tech was celebrated with the play, Why the Chimes Rang in which Kenneth Ross and Virginia Tanguay had the leading parts. Thus one year of High School life had passed and on january 27, 1940 we entered Tech as juniors. The doors and corridors were no longer numberless, and we had reached the conclusion that the seniors were only average sized Americans after all. Tech was awakened to the fact that dramatic ability was in- cluded within its realm, when the play Today I Am A Gentle- man was presented to the student body on February 20 and 21 by the Dramatic Club, of which Virginia Tanguay was president. Dolores Mediavilla and Marjorie Warner of our class had leading parts. After much discussion and debating, blue and silver were se- lected as our class colors, and Bill johnson was put in charge of arrangements for a class banner. Our first attempt at a class dance was a success, to state it modestly. It was called Mid-May Melody and true to its name was held the 17th of May, 1940 in conjunction with our immediate elders, the 11A's. Our representatives on the Dance Committee were Stanley Wood, co-chairman, Clarice Decker, Barbara Thomas, Heywood Cooper, and Robert Kinney. The junior Hi-Y was largely composed of our classmates 3 and its president, vice-president, and secretary were Douglas Lenkoski, Michael Biakis, and Bob Kinney respectively. The first important business of the 348 Juniors who returned in the fall of 1940 was to elect their officers. Doug Lenkoski was re-elected president: Harry Danos, vice-presidentg Barbara Thomas, secretaryg Michael Biakis, treasurerg and Wilbur Johnson, member-at-large. At the semi-annual Pro Merito Convention held at Hopkins Academy October 18, 1940, Virginia Tanguay was elected secre- tary of the State junior Pro Merito. Ann Foisey was honored by the G.A.A. with the Vice-Presi- dency. She has been in the past social chairman and treasurer. With the coming of November our thoughts once again turned to a class dance. The appropriate name Rustling Leayes was chosen and N ickey Stevens' Orchestra provided the music. On December 4 our class was so fortunate as to have one of its members, namely, Patricia Westall, win the first Tech Spelling Bee, and later the City Championship. At the honor assembly held january 15, 1941, five members of our class received their achievement pins. They were Virginia Tanguay, Heywood Cooper, Barbara Thomas, Douglas Lenkoski, and Robert Frost. Douglas Lenkoski, Kenneth Ross, and Vir- ginia Tanguay received honorable mention for the Washington and Franklin history medal which is donated semi-annually by the George Washington Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution. At last came our much anticipated senior year, but frankly we didn't feel so different or grown-up after all. The first great event of the new semester was that unfor- gettable Technicade on March 24, 1941, which is certain to live in our memory for many years to come. The result of the honor roll as recorded in the April hrst issue of Tech News showed that we had set off on our senior year with a good start for we had 8.31723 of our classmates on the honor roll. March 11, 1941 Douglas Lenkoski was elected Vice-President of Senior Pro Merito and at the convention at Smith Academy in Hatfield on May 10, he was elected president of State Senior Pro Merito. On the evening of April 10 a large number of our classmates thronged the Tech High Auditorium to see the Broadway hit What a Life . It was the first real evening show to be presented by Tech students for many years. In this show Dolores Media- villa played the part of Barbara Pearson opposite the lead, Henry Aldrich, and Virginia Tanguay played the part of the sarcastic secretary, Miss Shea. Wistful Wishing was the name of our 12B class dance on May 23. We again combined with the 11A's and can once more point with pride to a huge success which thirteen of our classmates worked hard to achieve. A large beautifully painted and lighted wishing well was used for decorations while the Sophisticated Swingsters provided the music. On june 11, 1941 we were proud to have Douglas Lenkoski come out on top in the election of president for Student Council. Other members of our class became prominent in club affairs. Margaret Buckley was elected president of Nishimaha and Bar- bara Thomas, secretary. Virginia Tanguay was chosen president of Le Salon and Cathryn Crane, program chairman. Barbara Thomas was made president of Athenaeum, Margaret Buckley, treasurer, and Virginia Tanguay, social chairman. As time rolled us into the last stretch of our happy stay at Tech, our class became prominent in Tech News editorial and business staff. Richard Dufresne and Virginia Tanguay, who had been cinema and second page editors respectively, were pro- moted to associate editors: Annette Christie, who had been a reporter for many semesters, became Style Editor. Pearl Thyre- god on joining the staff was made Club Editor and Douglas Lenkoski became special reporter for Hi-Y news. Virginia Tanguay was appointed Business Manager. Assisting her were Edith Zundell, Esther Harris, Pearl Thyregod, Cathryn Crane, and Dorothy Dewar as advertising agents, while Muriel Downie and Peggy Bastow served as circulation agen ts. Early in October, class elections were held and Douglas Len- koski was again re-elected President. Other officers chosen to serve until graduation were Harry Danos, vice-presidentg Marion Edwards, secretary, Robert Kimball as stage manager. Virginia Tanguay appeared in Of Mice and Men with Charles O'Brien and Robert Herbert serving as stage manager and director re- spectively. Edward Barbeau was the actor in his own original monodrama. Howard Crofoot was his director and Ernest jameson his stage manager. Charles Duquette and Stuart Ben- son were stage manager and director respectively to the mono- drama entitled The Spy and of course, Arvid Clauson was on hand with his camera. In 1941 Tech produced some very fine athletic teams. Eight won city championships, and all were a credit to Tech. Dotted here and there in the player lists of every one of these teams are names of members of the class of January '42. Bob Frappier, Olly Rickson, Fred Miller, and Haig Khtikian were indispensable in the Tiger football machine which swept all in Western Massa- chusetts before it. The baseball team had its small but impor- tant contingent of graduating athletics, Peter Galetti, Frank Murphy, and Willie Wright. Tech basketball and Smith are synonymous. Our Smith happened to be Emmett, our only representative on the team. Hockey was just being renewed after a layoff of several years. Doug Lenkoski, jack O'Leary, jack McGhee, and Adam Tomazew- ski helped Tech off on the right foot. Usually furnishing good teams in the three major sports, foot- ball, basketball, and baseball, Tech does not usually boast teams of championship quality in golf and tennis. Edward Mattson, Robert O'Keefe, and Kenneth Ross in golf and Damon Tucker in tennis are deserving of credit for making Tech an all-around school athletically. A team which had no school league to play in but aided by the skill of Frank Murphy, Howard Crofoot, and Howard Nolan more than took care of themselves in adult competition was the volleyball team. These boys really deserve mention! Only two years ago, schoolboy track was revived in Springfield and Tech immediately took command. This was also the case in the most recent track season as VVilliam Fitzgerald, Jack McGhee, Howard Crofoot, and Howard Nolan helped immeasurably to bring the Tech banners home in front. This leaves the only team unable to brig home a crown of some sort, the Soccer team. Our only representatives were Jack McGhee and Frank Murphy. Perhaps that was where the trouble lay. Three of the boys mentioned, Olly Rickson and Bob Frappier in football and Emmet Smith in basketball were named the best at their positions in Western Massachusetts. Though it is impossible to list all the names of the members of our class in Student Council, Pro Merito and G.A.A., they were numerous. In 12A, Pearl Thyregod became secretary of Student Council, Virginia Tanguay, secretary of Senior Pro Merito and Muriel Downie, vice-president of G.A.A. The social functions of September to january 1942 give a great deal to think about. On November 7 was the Tech-Classical Victory Dance. 1 Sweet Cider Swing was the name of our last class dance which was a barn dance and proved to be just as entertaining as it was novel. Mike Biakis and Clarice Decker were chairmen of the dance committee. On December S many of our classmates joined the rest of Tech High at the Springfield Auditorium at the SA. dance which celebrated the 73.392, goal reached in the Student Association drive and the victory of our football team. On the evening of january 9, we once again thronged the Tech High Auditorium to see the school play. The play presented was A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court . Members of our class in the cast were Howard Crofoot, Virginia Tanguay, Peter juskialis, Stuart Benson, and Charles O'Brien. Others from our class working on construction, lighting, etc. were Charles Landry, Robert Herbert, Donald MacKay, Arvid Clauson, Ed Barbeau, Richard Torrey, Stanley Kimball, Lawrence Vlarkin and Gerald Young. At last came our graduation activities! The rlates of each and the committee chairmen were as follows: Banquet-january 14-VV. johnson and M. Buckley, Chairmen. Prom - january 16 - R. Dufresne, B. Thomas, Chairmen. Class Day 4 Virginia Tanguay at which time the Ballot - G. Zarlengo, H. Khtikian Prophecy - D. Herbert, E. Zundell Will - D. Dewar, H. Crofoot were read. In closing may we hope that as coming events cast their shad- ows before, the members of the class in future years may figure as conspicuously and worthily as they have in their high school years. She has served as president of the G.A.A. and treasurer of both the Senior Pro Merito and Nisimaha. ller ability to play the organ and piano has been outstand- ing. ller willingness to respond to her schoolwork and activities and her pleasing personality have made her a very likable young lady. As a result she received the school's highest award, The Charles F. Warner Achieve- ment Medal. Harold has been a member of Pro Merito throughout his three years at Tech. During his senior year he was presi- dent of both the Student Council and Senior Pro Merito, and in his junior year he was president of his class. His performances as a talented singer have made him popular. He is well liked for his readiness to participate in school activities and for his amusing manner. As a result he re- ceived the school's highest award, The Charles F. Warner Achievement Medal. VALEDICTORY VVe, the graduating class of june 1942, stand between a happy past and an unknown future. VVe have reached the end of our high school years which brings about the real commencement of our lives. For nearly three years we have looked forward to this occasion of graduation, and now it is here. Upon its arrival we feel an unexpected sadness at leaving our school, and a genuine regret that our class must separate and i.ts members take their respective ways to fame and fortune. Vile realize that what our lives are to be depends in large measure upon the foundations we have been building for them in our high school years. VVe realize that, now we are passing into more active citizenship, there is a place for us in National life. VVe feel that each on.e of us has work to do in demonstrating the spirit of patriotism within us. Construction is going on all over the country. Much indeed, needs to be constructed to bring the world to our ideals, much of the old error and wrong needs to be destroyed. VVe all have a part in it. We all will do our best. In saying farewell to our principal and to our patient and per- severing teachers, who have aided us thus far, we owe more of gratitude than can be expressed in mere words. It is you, teachers, who have shown us the torch, by the light of which we may follow that road - the torch of education. Now comes the necessity of parting, and though our paths will be divergent, what has been a happy, united group will become a lasting pleasant memory which will remain with each one of us. May our future be such as to reflect credit upon our home, our school, and our country. Our school days have been happy, And now it is time to go. Behind are pleasant memoriesg Ahead, our futures glow. Shirley Turner Q1 'Vu l. B. A. Adams. The first few weeks were filled with awe and bewilderment and were mainly spent in harassing the many traffic officers. The girls of our class entered the social activities at Tech in October when the Girls' Athletic Association held an initiation party in their honor. Two freshmen showed their athletic ability by becoming known in two major sports, Truck Berard in football and Pete Baevich in basketball. In May we held our first class elections. Now we felt that we really belonged . Officers elected were President, Harold Brown, Vice President, Mary Landerfing Secretary, Barbara Bates, Treasurer, Welton C arrier, Members-at-Large, Alice Dudley, Edward McCracken, and Stephen Sarandis. Our freshman year was climaxed with a successful class party when dancing and games conducted by a student from Springfield College were greatly enjoyed by everyone who attended. In the fall of 1940 we returned to Tech to be greeted by a new principal and assistant. Col. B. A. Adams had been promoted to the directorship of government education in public schools with Mr. M. Marcus Kiley replacing him as principal and Mr. Donald G. Gifford, previously principal of Brookings school, as assistant principal of Tech. At the annual Pro Merito convention in Hopkins Academy, Hadley, on Oct. 19, 1940, Barbara Blethen was elected secretary of the State Junior Society. The interschool sports were taken up with a great deal of interest by our class members as Kenneth Beausoleil, Truck Berard, and Robert Jennings earned first string berths on the Tiger football team. On October 31, 1940, an interesting and exciting spectalce took place in Springfield when the President of the United States, Mr. Franklin Roosevelt, rode down State Street. He was greeted by thousands of enthusiastic students and by a twenty-one gun salute from the Springfield armory which added formality to the colorful occasion. On Nov. 15 was presented our first class dance of the semester, called Rustling Leaves . It proved to be a great success through a large attendance of enthusiastic juniors. In the winter sports, Tech boasted three championship athletic teams, basketball, hockey, and volley ball. Pete Baevich earned a regular berth on the basketball team, scoring 190 points in fourteen games. On March 28, 1941 Tech presented its first annual Technicade. For two consecutive nights hundreds of people crowded into the auditorium and gym to witness over thirty demonstrations in modern technology exhibited by Tech students and contributed by colleges, manufacturing concerns, the city of Springfield, and Tech faculty members. On May 23, 1941 a combined 11A-12B dance called f'Wistful Wishing was presented in the Tech gym. This dance proved to be a great success through the diligence of the dance committee under the chairmanship of Barbara Billings. At our next class meeting, class elections were held, Roland Bedard was elected President, Mary Landerfin, Vice President, Barbara Bates, Secretary, Richard Anschutz, Treasurer, and Dorothy Cantwell, Alice Dudley, and Stephen Sarandis, Mem- bers-at-Large. At the second annual Student Patrol banquet held on june 7 George Brigham was elected chief of the patrol. At an honor assembly on june 6 special awards in scholastic aptitudes were given. Haig Tashjian received the American Legion Citizenship medal and Alex Rich and Lawrence Lockwood received the Washington and Franklin history medals. Once again vacation time rolled around, and we left the school to return in the fall as proud seniors of Tech. As seniors we filled Tech News offices almost entirely. Ray- mond North was elected editor-in-chief, Richard Preston be- came an associate editor, Roland Bedard took care of both the sport editor's and the circulation manager's positions, and Harry Keeney was the advertising manager. Soon after the opening of school, Tech had its first exhibit at the Eastern States Exposition where Alan Preston and Ned Rice of our class showed the radio-controlled model airplane that had won sixth place in the Nationals the summer before. This season's football team, captained by Beausoleil and ably assisted by Jennings, Berard, Lenville, and Leroy, all from our class, won both the City and the Western Massachusetts Football Championships. They beat Cathedral 6-0 before an overfiowing crowd of 12,000 at Pynchon Park. Berths on the soccer, basketball, volley ball, and hockey teams were well filled by members of our class. The hockey and volley ball groups came through as champions in their respective sports, the soccer and basketball teams finished second. On December 8, 1941, War was declared on the Axis nations and we now realized that life is certainly not all play. Many members of our class and faculty members have gone into the services. Harold Brown and George Brigham were elected president and vice president respectively of the Tech Student Council in the mid-term elections, and Brigham, Pech, and Anschutz filled offices in the Tech Senior Hi-Y club. At the second annual Technicade, Lawrence Lockwood, our class inventor, presented his brain wave machine along with demonstrations from industries and colleges. The show was enjoyed by over 2,500 persons. Our last class dance, the Spring Shuffle was presented in April, with the decorations following a springlike theme. It was a great success although it snowed three inches that day. Don Pollard had two of his canvases shown at the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts in April. Three one act plays were presented by the drama class on two successive nights. Members of our class participating in these were Raymond North, Jeanette Sabourin, Don Pollard, Eugene Angers, Agnes Carlson, Shirley Turner, Roland Bedard, and Harry Keeney. Because of the abundance of defense and war jobs available, our class membership declined rapidly in the last few weeks of school. For those remaining, the weeks passed too quickly. Our class day was june 5, we graduated on june 8, our banquet came on june 10, and a large number enjoyed the Prom on june 12. From the girls' gymnasium of Technical High School we are proud to interview the noted authority on girls' sports, Miss Barbara Billings, who is president of the Girls' Athletic Asso- ciation of that school. The purpose of this inter- view is to acquaint our radio audience with the work that is being done in the athletic field for girls today. I should now like to introduce Miss Billings. Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen: Today I believe I am going to answer numerous questions on girls' sports, in order that you of the radio audience may gain information concerning our sport program. The girls try to broaden their athletic activities each year and offer a program which will appeal to every girl in the school. We feel it is just as important for girls as for boys to be physically Ht. Thank you Barbara. Now let me ask you a few questions. First I should like to ask about the dif- ferent types of sports which you include in your pro- gram. Of boys' sports, many include team work. Is this true of the girls'? Why yes, we have many team sports such as field hockey, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and softball. Could you explain a little about these sports? For instance, is field hockey played the same as boys' ice hockey? No, we have eleven girls on a team and we use a small ball instead of a puck. The rules are slightly different also. Some people believe that it is not so active a game as ice hockey but you should come out and watch the girls play sometime. Field hockey is almost as strenuous and equally exciting. I certainly should like to see a game. I under- stand boys and girls are playing games together now more than they used to. Do you include co-ed sports in your program? Barbara: Announcer: Barbara: Announcer: Barbara : Announcer: Barbara : Yes, we do. Cf course there are some sports which seem to offer themselves to co-recreation more than others do. We do not try to compete in games such as basketball and soccer: but we do have three sports, volleyball, badminton, and ping-pong, in which boys play with and against girls. This co- recreation has proved to be one of the most popular forms of sports at Tech. I'm rather interested in bowling. You have such a club, of course? Why, yes. The girls bowl once a week. We did not form teams this year, though, but in future years we may. We did have a group of girls that came out as a team to represent Tech, first in a Western Massachusetts tournament, and then in a City tournament. Our girls came in second in the Western Massachusetts tourney, but took first place in the city contest. This rather makes up for our poor standing in basketball. What do you mean? Was there an inter-school basketball tournament this year? Yes. Through the winter months, several girls played the exciting game of basketball. At the end of the season, the senior team had the privilege of playing teams from other high schools. Although the girls did not win this year, they found keen com- petition and exciting games. There is much talk nowadays about that new style of modern dancing. Is there any chance for the girls of Tech to participate in this activity? We are fortunate to have a modem dancing class in the city. It includes girls from three different high schools, Commerce, Classical, and Tech. Although we do not have a large representation from Tech, the girls that do participate do excellent work. A few times every year these girls give a demonstra- tion of their work at various meetings held in the city. Announcer: Barbara: Announcer: HI understand all these sports take place in the gym. In the spring do you include outdoor activities in your program? Why, of course. In the early spring, many girls go out for the fascinating game of tennis. I dOl1,t have to tell you what an active game this is, as you probably are well acquainted with the sport. UI should say I am! It's my favorite sport, and lf'll admit some girls can challenge boys in this game and really show them up. Another sport that girls can exceed boys in sometimes, is diving. There is noth- ing so beautiful as a swan dive executed by an accomplished girl diver. Do you have any chance to form a swimming club? Barbara : Announcer: Why, yes. Our swimming club draws more girls than any other sport. The girls swim once a week at a church pool in the city. This club generally includes girls from all the high schools. It really is a very profitable organization to belong to. To learn to swim is a worth-while objective for every- one. The class is divided into three groups: one for girls who do not swim but wish to learn, another for girls who wish to learn advanced swimming techniques, and a third group who enjoy diving, the most exciting part of water sports. I saw a group of girls a few days ago, with knap- sacks strapped on their backs, happily hiking along a country road. Did these girls have any connec- tion with Tech sport activities? Barbara : Announcer : That was probably the group of girls from our sports club. These girls meet once a week with a different program each time. Last winter the girls had two ice skating parties. This spring they have taken a trip to the Indian Camp and have visited every park in the city. I think this is one of our most interesting clubs. Now, I believe I have taken up too much of your time already and I must close. But on concluding this pleasant interview, I should like to say that we girls do not take part in these sports only for a good time and to meet new friends, but we realize that an adequate physical education training promotes strong and healthy bodies capable of hard work and clear thinking, which are so necessary for the wel- fare of the country at this time. Thank you very much, Miss Billings, for giving us your time. I am sure it has been extremely pro- fitable to our radio audience. Riclmrcl Farnham, John Calkins, Charlc-S S1-lwitl Tech Review Editor-in-Chief Morton Silver Associate Editor joseph Farnham Circulating Manager Leo Swindlehurst The Tech Review is a paper published by the students of Tech to encourage good writing on the part of its students. Members of the student body as well as those of the staff are asked to contribute articles to the paper. Although the adviser of the paper, Mr. Lyman, has been called into the army, the staff has been carrying on the work with great success. Those interested in the publication have been pleased to note that the Review has been revived, as it seems an indication that the students of Tech are interested in the study of English as related to literary endeavor. wp ,,,, DRA MA ww-on :vm mx ,gifs 'I Q A- av, Y .L I Z E iw MUJIC Seated at Far Left Seated in Outer Semi-Circle Seated in Inner Semi-Circle Seated at Far Right In Backgrou nd George Gamble, Edward Thompson, Gordon Pryor jack Weake, Riehard, foleman, Edward Hamilton, Douglas johnson, Louis Hanson, Frank lVlora4'h, VValter Robinson, l'aul Rothery, Joseph liuehholz, Albert Bryant, Richard llatcher, Ronald Seagliarini, Edward Lawre, Stanley Szlachetka, Marr Girard Edward Srhube, Eugene Delacroix, Russell Cummings, Raymond Beane, Theodore Crapser, - llarry Stone, I,ueius Van Heusen, Joseph Amedeo Donn Shepard, Royal Fisher, Eugene Millette, Stanley Root, Charles Archibald, David Furey lflorio llenedetti, Robert Agostino Gertrude llelliveau, janet Svhelzinger, Edyth Lowe, Robert Hottin, james Deso, William Leger, Glenn Kittredge, Robert Sullivan, Mr. Cook, Elizabeth Wade, Jacqueline Coor, Evelyn Stack, Angelina Cardinale, Gloria Castor, Elaine Belanger Each day during the second period a group of fifty six members, mcludmg librarians and majorettes, meets to form The Tech Band The proficiency of the band is shown in their ability to play such dlfficult selec tions as The Barber of Seville Overature and the marches of Goldman and Sousa.
