R DIVISION pictured above consists of the Shipfitters, Machinery Repairmen, Electrician's Mates, Internal Communicationsmen, Damage Controlmen, and Enginemen. Naval Gunfire Support increased their work a hundredfold as the 22 year old Taussig cracked and shook with each six gun salvo. Their work was outstanding and kept the old veteran afloat for each new mission. B DIVISION pictured below is composed of the Boiler Tenders and has laid claim to the title of Hardest Work- ing Division with the aid of LTJG PARKER. Their job is to keep the ship going and often seems like a thankless one, however they can well be proud of answering every bell during the 1966 WESTPAC cruise. 'Y-:uv I av
