During che tall term Low Senior lim Benetield was president of the Student Body, and the Tam-San Rafael Inter-School Relations Committee to promote better feeling between the two schools was one ol his first accomplishments. For the first time in Tarns history senior sweaters were designed and could be bought by all seniors, Two ot the original amendments to the Constitution were dropped and six new ones were added. ln the spring Sherman Hall was elected president and during his admini- stration the Tam-San Rafael joint dance was held. Many more programs were brought to the student body. Those serving under President Beneiield in the fall were: lim Chapman, vice president, Doug Land, secretary, Bill Barker, treasurer, and San Harris, yell leader. The fall Girls' Association president was Phyl Kotite, and assisting her were Kay Lloyd vice presidentg Carolyn Huber, secretaryg and Marion Stratton, yell leader, Under Phyls leadership the first girls' activity of the year was the semi-annual Freshman Reception. Then the girls entertained their mothers at the Mothers' Tea and held a Christmas banquet. The new term started with the Freshman Reception under the direction of newly-elected President loan Guess. Following the reception was the Polka Dot Polka, complete with the crowning of King and Queen, and the Femme Frolics which took the place of the annual Girls' Iinx During the spring term loan was assisted by ollicers Carolyn Huber, vice presidentg Margie Clark, secretaryg and Wilma Greenberg, yell leader. fi
