SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS Carol Ann Pagel President Mary Long Secretary CLASS FLOWER- -White Roses Vice President Herman Sieck Treasurer CLASS COLORS--Navy and White CLASS MOTTO-- We have crossed the bay, the ocean lies before us. The senior class of 1956 entered Tama High School as the largest class that has entered this school to date. Many of the students entered right into high school life by joining clubs, music groups and sports activities. Our first party was given in April and its theme was April Showers . This theme was carried out by decorating the gym with rain drops and umbrellas. As sophomores we had begun to feel at home in THS. A sock-hop was given as our Valentine party and was well at- tended. The junior class play was a mystery entitled Drums of Death . As juniors we also gave the annual Junior-Senior Prom. The Blue Ange1 was our theme and caricatures of angels on clouds were seen on the gym walls. Strips of blue crepe paper sprinkled with silver stars were draped from the ceiling. Don Hoy's orchestra helped finish the set- ting. The Inner Willy was the name of the senior class play. This was the last event in which the seniors entertained their families and friends in the audi- torium of THS. Our class has come a long way from the largest class that has ever entered Tama High. We have lost many of our classmates through the past yearsg but those of us who have strived for our diplomas will always carry a feeling of accomplishment. We have proven ourselves to the school by having many of our classmates participate in music, speech, and athletic activities. Four of our seniors were on the '56 bas- ketball team thatwent as far as the dis- trict meet atlowa City. Ofthese and all the rest of our class, we are proud to say we have crossed the bay, the ocean lies before us . JOSLYN MANUFACTURING COMPANY Madonna Spickert
